2021 / Exhibition with Krista Smulders at Odapark

Krista Smulders and Michiel Ubels present at Odapark their first joint exhibition: FOR YOUNG AND OLD: cute exhibition for children + spicy film for adults. This 'spicy film' is their experimental documentary LOVERS AND CAMERAS in which Krista and Michiel follow a couple in love for weeks and during the filming they are increasingly confronted with their own relationship.

In the 'cute' part of the exhibition, the artists show that the search for love is not very different from the magical gaze with which children view the world: animals can talk, trees dance and even tables, cars and clouds are characters you can strike up a conversation with. In FOR YOUNG AND OLD, Krista and Michiel give free rein to the imagination, showing that magical thinking will haunt us for a lifetime.
